Registered Sage 50 Accounts v2009 users will begin to receive notification that Sage is withdrawing support. This is in line with the Sage software lifecycle policy.

What does this mean for you?
This does not mean your software will stop working. You can still continue to use it. However, Sage will be withdrawing support, updates and upgrades in a phased approach.
When will support be withdrawn?
1 May 2012 - No new SageCover contracts will be available.
Customers will not be able to buy a new SageCover contract for Sage 50 Accounts v2009 after this date.
30 April 2013 - All upgrade pricing for Sage 50 Accounts v2009 will come to an end.
30 April 2013 - SageCover for Sage 50 Accounts v2009 will no longer be available.
Customers will not be able to renew their SageCover for Sage 50 Accounts v2009 from this date.
30 April 2014 - SageCover support will be withdrawn.
No technical support will be available for Sage 50 Accounts v2009 from this date.
Why is Sage doing this?
When support is withdrawn on 30 April 2014, Sage 50 Accounts v2009 will be more than five versions behind the latest release. In line with the Sage software lifecycle policy, Sage will withdraw support from older versions of the software.
