Christmas Opening Times
Customer Spotlight- Warranty Direct Warranty Direct Limited, based in Reading, is the first and only direct personal Warranty Company operating in the UK, and has been providing industry leading products such as motor and home appliance extended warranties on a national basis for the past 10 years.
Uniq Systems has been providing and advising Warranty Direct with their IT infrastructure, maintenance and support since the company first started out. Since then, Uniq has provided the IT requirements that have been necessary to sustain the steady growth of the company since those early days, when they ranged from 4 to now almost 40 employees.
Uniq has advised and implemented various systems that have assisted Warranty Direct with this growth and in the past 12 months has introduced and implemented the Finjan System that has not only protected their crucial network but has also increased productivity and profitability throughout their Sales Department. With all users on email, it was felt that there was a requirement for tighter control on the flow of emails in and out of main server, and as such Warranty Direct also implemented the Barracuda Spam Firewall System which further protects the network from any unwanted emails and connections.
Duncan McClure Fisher, Managing Director of Warranty Direct “Over the years I have seen both my own business and Uniq Systems grow from strength to strength. It’s fantastic for two local companies to enjoy such individual success while continuing their business relationship each year. Uniq has always provided the support we need”.
Warranty Direct is expanding further in 2008 and is reliant upon Uniq to assist in the smooth integration of additional premises – it’s a big project and lots of planning is involved to ensure there is no disruption to the operation of a company that is open for business 6 days a week.
